Asthanga yoga divided in to two Bahiranga Yoga and Anataranga Yoga.
Indirect way to gain mastery over the mind
A. Bahiranga Yoga :
- YAMA : A set of DONT'S
- NIYAMA : A set of DOS
- ASANA : Yoga postures
- PRANAYAMA : Mastery through breath
- PRATYAHARA : Mastery through senses
Direct way to gain mastery over the mind
B. Anataranga Yoga :
- DHARANA : Focussing
- DHYANA : Defocussing (Meditation)
- SAMADHI : Super consciousness
while meditating,need to focus on single thought,so I don't understand the meaning of the word "Defocussing" here?
